Where Does My Money Go

We're asking for your support in helping our cat Datura and other cats living with diabetes. It's only fair we tell you where revenue from the shop goes, both now and in the future. 

1. Datura's vet bills are our main priority right now. Costs are highest when first diagnosing and treating a diabetic cat. These fees involve vet visits, consultations, blood and urine analysis, and equipment like syringes, blood-testing strips and a glucose monitor. 
2. Merch costs. We think it's important to reward donors with a commemorative gift. Commemorative gifts can create important conversations around further support for the animal community. Our costs are around 50% to 60% of donations. We also think Datura deserves his own brand to help support himself and other cats. If you prefer to donate and not receive merch, that's totally cool too. 
3. From the beginning, 5% of revenue raised will go direct to our local humane society. Once Datura's vet bills are covered (we're not even close yet, but we'll post his expenses here) we'll create a small fund to cover his future diabetic bills. We'll then determine and publish a plan to share further merch profits with organizations that support cats with diabetes and people with sudden, emergency veterinarian expenses.
